Technical Requirements
Our programs run entirely online, but you'll need the right setup to get the most out of them. These aren't fancy requirements — just the basics that help you participate fully and actually complete your coursework without frustration.
What You Actually Need
I've seen people try to run our fraud detection simulations on tablets or ancient laptops. It doesn't go well. You don't need a gaming rig, but you do need reliable equipment that can handle modern web applications and video conferencing without crashing halfway through a session.
Computer Specs
- Desktop or laptop from the last five years with at least 8GB RAM
- Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.14 or newer, or a recent Linux distribution
- Dual-core processor minimum (quad-core preferred for simulation work)
- At least 50GB of free storage space for course materials and software
- Working webcam and microphone for live sessions
Internet Connection
You need stable internet with at least 10 Mbps download speed. Our Australian servers are pretty forgiving, but if you're constantly dropping from live sessions or can't load case study materials, you'll fall behind quickly. Mobile hotspots work fine if they're reliable in your area.
Software Requirements
We use Chrome or Firefox for most coursework. You'll also need Zoom for live instruction and access to Google Workspace tools. Everything else we provide, including access to fraud detection software and our practice environments. Some modules require spreadsheet proficiency — Excel or Google Sheets both work.
Time Commitment Setup
This isn't strictly technical, but it matters. You need a quiet space where you can focus for three to four hours twice a week during evening sessions. Our September 2025 cohort runs Tuesday and Thursday evenings AEST. Weekend catch-up work adds another four to six hours depending on your pace.

Not Sure If Your Setup Works?
Run our quick compatibility check or schedule a fifteen-minute call with our technical team. They'll walk you through testing your system and answer questions about specific configurations. Better to know now than discover problems during your first live session.
